Driving Zakk Around Sucks

Zakk had Rob over today. Zakk and Rob got a call from someone (Laura, I think), and decided that they were going to go over to Ali's house. My mom told me to drive Zakk over to Ali's. We got in the car and we had to go pick up Nick first. That's fine, I pick up Nick all the time. With Nick in tow, I started heading towards Murphy's house, because I heard Zakk say on the phone that Murphy and Nick were going too. So as I headed to Murphy's, they inquired where I was going. They said, "I'm not sure if Murphy's going." I said, "Well, you better figure out quick." As I turned in to the housing development near Jack and Swifty's houses, they finally got a hold of Murphy and informed me that Murphy was not going to be needing a ride. "So...", I asked, "where does Ali live?" I got two "I dunno"s from Zakk and Rob, and Nick muttered, "Somewhere near Bever, I think." I turned around at Sunland Court and started heading toward Bever. I drove on Bever from 34th all the way down to a set of stoplights before they said, "Uhhh... I think it was back there somewhere." So I turned around and headed all the way back to the actual park, then I turned around again. Finally did they decide that Ali lived on some street off of Forest Drive. Great. I got on Forest and Zakk called Ali's house to ask for directions the rest of the way. Zakk just farted around and wasted time and failed to get coherant directions as to the location of Ali's house... instead, as we drove past the turn-off, Nick said, "I think she lives on that street somewhere."

So, we finally turned onto the right street, and Zakk asked the house number. Again, giving a simple number was impossible for whoever was on the other end, as we ended up driving right past the house. I pulled into the driveway and Nick said, "Let's go to Burger King first and get something to eat." How typical.

I drove Nick to Burger King, where he finally decided on his order of a Whopper with cheese, hold the pickles. He decided on his incredibly complex order after we had pulled up to the speaker. Then, Zakk and Rob broke into a rousing rendition of the "Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us, all we ask is that you let us serve it your way... have it your way... have it your way" song. Nick produced three wadded up ones, I paid, and we headed back to Ali's house.

Upon arriving back at the house, Nick decided he would make us wait in the driveway as he stunk up my freshly cleaned car with the smell of onions, burger, and fries. I waited what had to be a solid ten minutes while he slowly ate his burger. If I had to pay for my own gas, I would've been really pissed.

After what seemed an enternity, they finally left the car, a solid hour after we left my house in what should've been a quick 20 minute there and back drive. That's why older siblings hate driving around their younger siblings.

I'm grounded. Heres why: on monday morning, Murphy and I went to Cork N Fork for breakfast. I haven't been to swimming in at least three weeks, so I figured I would get away with it like always. I came home, told my mom I went, then headed to work. When I got home, I was informed that I would be staying home for dinner, as we would be having a chat. Turns out, Mike McGrath kindly informed my parents that was I at his house that morning. Dammit. He didnt know I was supposed to be at swimming so I dont really care. But I have been grounded last night, today, and will be tomorrow.

The other day, Rob Bruggeman, Nick Basile, Zakk and I were driving to the Wynnsong 12 to see the 9:50 showing of The Score, which was awesome. Matt Ward pulled up alongside us and said to Rob, "Are you Woody?". Oh my God, Rob went off the handle big-time. It was seriously funny as hell. Rob got so incredibly mad. But then again, who wouldn't get mad if they got called Woody?
