Boy, maybe I should just start cutting and pasting my posts from previous weeks. That's why I went to the Soph game only tonight. Looks like the smart move on my part... I got to see our fly-ass Sophs win and I didn't have to endure another embarrasing Varisty defeat--to Jeff, no less!

Tailgating
Next week, tailgating will feature grills, two of 'em, in fact. So for all you losers that failed to show up (and there's a lot of you, considering we average 160 unique visits daily), come to the next home game and tailgate with us.

Damn, Nick and Mike, you guys have sweet taste in music. I listen to a ton of house and trip-hop, as well as other related genres. I have a ton of Armand Van Helden, Bran Van 3000, Paul Okenfold and Dmitri from Paris to name a few. Nick, saw you liked Tricky and Tool...are you going to that concert? They're both coming to CR on Oct. 20th.

Tailgate

Hey Mike, do you like Dimitri Of Paris? I've heard some really sweet stuff of his you might like it if you havn't heard of him, you probably have because you know more about house than I. And because no one cares, here's my playlist updated at 12:13 AM, Friday the 5th. It changes all the time because I'm always downloading new stuff, currently I'm leeching some Radiohead (trying to get complete studio works), Sham 69, and some Tweaker. And by the way, Daft rules! I have their complete studio works, plus some B sides, and some really sweet remixes. Not to mention some badass bootlegs.

PS - My music collection is not as unorganized as it looks, I have them sorted into albums but I saved the playlist when all the MP3s were sorted by name. Whoops.

My favorite genre of music is definitely house music... Extremely popular in Europe, but not recognized at all in the US... I like hard house, French house, and disco house. I think it's a strong alternative to the glut of rock/rap/pop music that permeates the radio waves here, it's not cool at all anymore, it's all so status quo. As some of you probably know, I like to make mix CDs for seemingly random things with whatever music appeals to me at the moment. And anyways, I decided that since music seems to be a topic of discusion often here on Big Boy, I was wondering if all you guys could post a few of your favorite songs (specific songs, not just artists or albums) to be included on a "Big Boy Productions" music CD. I love cheese! I can't get enough. From good ole cheddar (block style), all the way to my nataive francais brie. Cheese = gooey goodness, for which there is NO substitute. I would hate for cheese to suddenly dissapear from my life. All who have a love for cheese, please, feel free to tell us about it. Can't ever get too much talk bout' cheese.......mm mm good

I used to love these things. Oooh... cheesy greasy goodness. I tried one tonight to see if a few slices of cheese would bother my little lactose intolerant stomach all that much. Meds
Adam, you might also have what is known as a "milk allergy" which is an immune system problem where your body will attack the milk proteins, present in cheeses and ice cream as well, and cause pain. There isn't really any treatment for this, although some allergy medicines might help a bit. If it is indeed lactose intolerance there are some over-the-counter meds (Lactaid) that you can take to reduce the sickness after consuming lactose-rich products. Since you seem to have such overwhelming pain, it is probably lactose intolerance.

Lactose Intolerance
OMFG, this sucks big time. I love ice cream, milk, sour cream, cheeses of all varieties, cereal, yogurt, and damn, I just love dairy products. In the past few weeks, I've noticed that I've gotten sick to my stomach every single time I ate anything, and I couldn't figure it out. My mom suggested it might be lactose intolerance and suggested I try a meal without any dairy products. I felt fine afterward, so I tried a tiny bowl of milk and fruit loops this morning and almost puked it up again like yesterday morning. When I came home from school today, a simple snack of Tostitos and some Salsa con Queso (that cheese salsa) made me feel ill again. Sometimes it's worth it... take the sick to my stomach feeling just to have some damned good food, but more times than not, it's not worth it.

Jamie, Adam H., Warren and whoever else; granted you guys are my friends, but I can't accept the way you guys abused posting privileges on the site. Yes, that's right. Posting on BBP is a privilege; no one has the right to post until the admins have invited you to. Thank you for leaving the site, you guys were bringing it down to a dumb and immature level anyways - completely in the opposite direction in which the creators were shooting for. When Adam, Zakk and I first created this site we intended the page to be intelligent and insightful; not to be another DCF. Re: Cleaning House and Car Windows
This is probably a good idea. The roster was getting clogged with users who don't even post.

You guys don't realize how much of a luxury it is to have working windows in your car. Since I first was able to drive my car, which was on June 14, only the drivers side window has had any sort of real function. Just recently, the day before yesterday in fact, my windows were fixed. Wow, this is what driving is about. My favorite thing to do at a stoplight now is to roll all four windows up and down. Also, my AC got fixed as well. I <3 my luxurious sporty ride.

Rugby
We should really try to get rugby more recognized around here. I learned to play a few years ago from some guys who used to play professionally in South Africa and New Zealand. It's fast paced, there are no pads, and damn do you have to be quick. The games are 40 min halves. In football, if the ball touches the ground, the game is paused and plays are reset, in rugby, when the ball hits the ground, you pick it up and run your ass off before the opposing team lands on you like a grand piano. Good times for all.

I am leaving this site, it's more homo by the minute, all the post are dumb and not funny anymore like they used to be. The site was only sweet with the original members and some new ones like Rob and Chad. I will think about coming back if this site gets turned around but at the moment I don't even like having my name on this site. Is it just not concievable these days to think that if you pay for something your gonna get good service out of it??? I have a 240 watt Rockford Phosgate Amp for my car. Along with 4 Punch elite speakers and two ten-inch punch sub-woofers. It was a system designed and installed by my dad who knows a hell of a lot about sound. It was in perfect operation for near a year then all of the sudden, the right channel in the Amp went out for some reason. We didn't even try to fix it untill about 3 months ago. We sent it into rockford asking for anestimate to fix and they told us $90. So we told them to go ahead with the procedures. Upon return, we directly noticed that the company didn't include the original set crews that hold the wires into place. We reinstalled it and were in awe of the return of the lost sound that used to grace my rice burner. My dad then ejected the CD, and started messing with the levels and such. All of the sudden, it wouldn't turn back on. My dad took it back out and messed with some stuff, noticing that the power supply was not saudered back on correctly!! We packaged the whole thing back up and sent it back. It has been a month since then. We got it back today. We Re re-installed it, and again my magic was back. Untill the Amp started to frickin SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!! Well, needless to say, Rockford is sending us a brand new Amp, free of charge. so I am not complaining. I just want my sound back!!

It Was A Big Day On Jesus Ranch.....
I like Educare. Even though I have to go four nights a week, I get all my homework done and I get help on all my math and chemistry stuff. Plus, free popcorn and a complilmentary drink. An hour is a small price to pay for better grades and free food.

Also, I "received" an advance copy of the new Fugazi due in two weeks. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet but I will post a full review soon.

Cubs
One may think that I have resorted to a being bitter about the Cubs season this year. We all know that they made a stand up season for 3/4's of a season and then let the pennant slip between their fingers. But honestly, I am proud as hell to be a cub fan. We flipped our year right over, from being last place in the whole majors, to an NL wild card contender. I personally, believe with all my heart that this is just a jump start year for the Cubbies. With all the great additions and changes we made with our team (bullpen and lineup) I'm sure we can keep the wins rollin'. We aquired many talented free agents (Michael Tucker), made some excellent trades (Fred McGriff) and built our bullpen around the best pitchers in the NL Central, Kerry Wood, and Jon Leiber. Bravo Chicago Cubs! I salute you. Even though we didn't make it to the playoffs, we can go get 'em next year.

Are you insinuating that I use drugs? I was in Witte's class winter and spring term, and they kicked ass, so maybe fall term is just automatically boring in every AP English class. I always understood Witte's lectures, so they interested me. Plus, I met Witte freshmen year when I did debate, so he likes me from that, and we listen to a lot of the same music.

Name Hy-Vee Classics
Hy-Vee (my employer for well over 18 months now) is infamous for their absolutely wretched and horrid selection of music. Actually, it's not just limited to the store I work at (Mt. Vernon Road) or even Hy-Vee in general... it's some sort of digital satellite music service (similar to the Digital Music Express on Digital Cable), with the exception that its one feed: some sort of Adult Contemporary crap that plays a mixture of late 90s combined with some good and bad tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s. At any rate, all Hy-Vees get this feed, and I've noticed that Taco Bell, Wendy's and Burger King also play the same feed. Boy, and I'm telling you what, when I'm wolfing down a classic triple, the last thing I want to hear is the same crap I hear at the 'Vee for hours.

It wouldn't be so completely horrid if not for the fact that most of the playlist repeats, and I'm not joking, every 6 hours or so. On an eight hour shift, you will hear the same music twice. Apparently, some songs must have a higher repeat rate than others, and the playlist isn't the exact same thing every time through. I imagine that the songs have a weight assigned to them, some are weighted to appear every four hours, some must be only every couple of days. I've heard The Monkees' classic, "I'm a Believer" only one time, and rockin' Billy Joel only hits Hy-Vee airwaves rarely, but some godawful songs like that annoying Shania Twain song which I can't name plays, I swear to God, every two hours.

Anyhow, dearest readers, I'm telling you all this because I want you to help me. Everyone goes into Hy-Vee, Burger King, Wendy's, or Taco Bell enough to have heard some of this wretched collection of music. I'm making a list and I want your help. Looks like I get to be Rodney King. I think the new site kicks ass. Adam knows more about this stuff then most of us will hope to know in a lifetime. It is at his discretion to do with HIS site as he pleases. So, I say enough with all the pissant 3rd grade bullshit. In a fight against Adam and most of you....I would bet on Adam.......

I've never had Mr. Henderson, so I can't comment on that little quarrel. Although what I have heard about him has been good. Mr. Witte's AP English class is the single best class I have ever taken. He's one helluva teacher, so what if he's actually got standards for grading? I fell asleep in Buchheit's class almost every day when I had her.

Also, why all the gay jokes? Holy shit, every time I turn around. "Oh, he's a flamer" Homo! Gey! (wtf did that come from?). Wow, can't we get out of middle school just a little bit?

Adam/New Layout
To all those people who are dissing the new layout/Adam, well in the great words of the rock you need to know your role and shut your mouth. Adam is a great person to all of us, espicially us like me who have not have the privledge to drive. We would not have this precious site if it wasen't for Adam, this site would never get record numbers of hits if it wasen't for Adam. Looking back Adam is one of the selfless people I have ever met, not to mention a really cool guy. So if Adam wants to change the layout, I don't think that it is our role to tell him he can't.

The Sharper Image
Today, I got a catalog in the mail of The Sharper Image. This catalog kicks ass. I'd feel like such a badass if I had half the l33t stuff in there. Seriously, Q and James Bond have nothing on The Sharper Image.

The Great Mr. Henderson Debate
I rather enjoy his class, he makes history interesting enough to keep my attention...and that's not easily done. I've had much much worse teachers then him. I don't care what his beliefs are, his job is to teach me, not to expound political beliefs, and he does a good job at that.

Also, about the Netolicky/Witte debate. Nick, I think our low grades was mostly due to our inexperience writing at the AP level, as opposed to Swifty just sucking as a writer. She doesn't just enter a 2/9 into the gradebook as a 2/9, I am pretty sure it's worth more then that. Oh well, I am predicting good things about my next essay. Hopefully at least 5.

Today's Football Practice
Yeah, Football today was definatly weird, Coach James actually yelled at about something other than fucking up. Then during practice Coach White went out of his way to find ways to degrade the J-hawks. It was really kinda funny when he started talking about how their fans would be in the stands eating bratwurst and all that shit. We even break out by yelling "dicks" this week. The coaches are definatly doing there best to hype us up, lets hope it works. I think we are gonna rape them though, wince we are more or less back at full strengh this week, baring any more injuries.

Alright shut it about Mr. Henderson. He is honest to God my favorite teacher of all time. Sure he comes off as an asshole if you goof off in his class or whatever, but he's too interesting to hate. Secondly, Netolicky/Witte debates are pointless. Everyone knows that the hardest (and most helpful) AP Lang/Comp instruction came from Buccheit. Just ask Brewer the first. Don't vote Pate, his kid is a stupid prick that goes to Linn Mar and talks too much shit. This isn't an endorsement for Clancy (hasn't gotten shit done for the last few years : P) but for the love of god, being an asshole runs in the family. DON'T VOTE PATE. Fourth and finally: the new layout is uber. Maybe you don't like the color scheme because you find light blue insulting to your heterosexuality or some skewed justification for your insecurities or something like that, but the fact remains the new layout is a lot cleaner and the logo is better than anything we had before. Flame on.

I am gonna have to agree with the admins. on this one, and it's not because I sorta have to. It's becasue I was sitting right there when Adam made this sweet new look. I saw the hard work that he put into it. As well as the WORK put into the original look, Maintaining the site, and Da Cow farm. I don't feel ANYONE (including myself sometimes) gives adam the credit he deserves. Without him, we would have nothing to be even discussing right now. None of us have the computer know how to handle any of this. The Warrior Young Republicans wouldn't be as successful as it has been with out Adam. A bunch of you wouldn't have had rides in the past if it wasn't for him driving Zakk and all his little homies around. And lastly, Adam is just cool. New Layout
I rather like the new layout. I enjoy how the posts are seperated from each other, and that logo is badass. The "Productions" part could use a little work, and the blue is a little weird, but other then that I like it.

I have thought about posting on Big Boy for quite some time now. I have accepted the invitation to write for this website even though my writing skills are very limited.
